Conference hosted by Calvary South Denver
April 11-13, 2013
Who is God? Are there many ways to heaven? Will God save everyone? What about all the religious choices available today?
This conference will tackle these important questions and many others by leading Christian scholars. Both Christians and non-Christians of every age are encouraged to attend. Guest speakers include Nancy Pearcey, from Truth and Saving Leonardo; Doug Groothuis from Denver Seminary; Craig Hazen of Biola; and James Bjornstad, professor of philosophy at Cedarville College.
Evening sessions are free to the public. The three day conference is $25.

The Keynote Speakers

Nancy Pearcey
Director of the Francis Schaeffer Center for Worldview and Culture at Houston Baptist University.
Nancy R. Pearcey, editor-at-large of The Pearcey Report, is a scholar in residence and professor at Houston Baptist University, where she is also director of the Francis Schaeffer Center for Worldview and Culture. She is also a fellow at the Discovery Institute. Previously she was the Francis A. Schaeffer Scholar at the World Journalism Institute, where she taught a worldview course based on her book Total Truth, winner of the 2005 ECPA Gold Medallion Award for best book on Christianity and Society. She has also served as professor of worldview studies at Philadelphia Biblical University, during which time she wrote her most recent book,Saving Leonardo: A Call to Resist the Secular Assault on Mind, Morals, and Meaning.

Craig Hazen PH.D.
Professor of Comparative Religions at Biola University
Dr. Hazen is the editor of the philosophy journal, Philosophia Christi. He is also the author of the monograph The Village Enlightenment in America, the acclaimed apologetics novel Five Sacred Crossings, and dozens of articles and chapters in various books and journals. He is a recipient of the Fischer Award, the highest faculty honor at Biola and has lectured across North America and Europe on key apologetics topics—including lectures on Capitol Hill and in the White House. He is a popular church and conference speaker and former co-host of a national radio talk program.
Douglas Groothuis, Ph.D.
Professor of Philosophy at Denver Seminary
He is the author of Christian Apologetics: A Comprehensive Case for Christian Faith,Unmasking the New Age, Confronting the New Age, Revealing the New Age Jesus, Christianity That Counts, Deceived by the Light, Jesus in an Age of Controversy, The Soul in Cyberspace, Truth Decay, On Pascal, and On Jesus. He has written for scholarly journals such as Religious Studies, Sophia, Research in Philosophy and Technology, Journal of the Evangelical Theological Society, Philosophia Christi, Trinity Journal, and Asbury Theological Journal as well as for numerous popular magazines such as Christianity Today, Moody Magazine, The Christian Research Journal, Christian Counseling Today, Modern Reformation and Perspectives. He has also written editorials for a variety of newspapers.

James Bjornstad
Professor of Philosophy at Cedarville College
Past President of EMNR, serves as professor of philosophy at Cedarville College at Cedarville, Ohio. Mr. Bjornstad also serves as the Executive Director of the Institute of Contemporary Christianity. B.A., Northeastern Bible College, 1967. He holds the following degrees: Th.B., Northeastern Bible College, MRE., New York Theological Seminary, and Ph.D., New York University, ABD. In much demand as a speaker, he is also the author of six books. Professor Bjornstad brings a wealth of experience to the EMNR Board and to those he ministers alongside having been involved in researching religious movements and practices for over thirty-two years.
