Jim and his wonderful wife Lorraine will be married 40 years in 2010 and have three children, Jimmy, Michelle, and Lauren.
Jim has been attending Calvary since 2003. “Although raised Catholic and a practicing Catholic all my life, even attending Catholic High School and College, I was saved at Promise Keepers in 1992 and was very fortunate to have been discipled immediately by the Navigator Ministry. Although I had always believed that Jesus was my Savior and died for my sin, He was not Lord of my life”. After being discipled into daily Bible Study and prayer for four years, he was encouraged to stay in the Catholic Church to teach them the Bible and the true gospel. He did this through his participation in Men’s Ministries, Men’s Retreats, and small group Bible Studies. After 11 years, he came to Calvary Chapel South Denver in 2003 having listened to Pastor Gino on the radio and attending Wednesday evening services.
Soon Pastors Gino and Richard had him lead and teach in the School of Ministry while he was active in Men’s Ministry. After being nominated for Lay Pastor training with Pastor Manny and Pastor Bob, Pastor Mike asked him to lead the Monday Night Men’s Bible Study in 2006. He has led this group in Studies of Nehemiah, The Greatness of God in the Life of Moses, The Victories of God in the Life of Joshua, the Truth Project, and The Making of a Godly Man-the Life of David.
Jim retired from Qwest Communications after 38 years in March 2008, and Pastor Gino offered him a part-time position on Staff. In July 2009, Pastor Gino the licensed Jim as a Pastor and now leads the Men’s Ministry and School of Ministry while he also manages the Resource Center.
